Release the club through impact to stop slicing

The instructor's most-emphasized slice fix: if you hold onto the club through impact, the face stays open and the ball spins left to right no matter your path. He has you practice releasing the club through impact instead of holding on — from the top, releasing it at impact — which lets the face square up and takes some of the spin off the ball. He notes the motion takes practice on the range because golfers tend to hold on in an effort to avoid the slice.
