Putting has three elements: mind, technique, reads
The instructor frames putting as three separate elements: the mental side (attitude/confidence), technique (the stroke and alignment), and green reading. He stresses the mental part most: if you don't believe you can putt, you won't, noting Tiger Woods never showed up to a tournament thinking he was the second-best putter there. You don't have to tell everyone you're the best, but you must have confidence you'll make putts. He adds that even the best technique players don't always make the most putts because green reading is its own skill.
