Point the club to one o'clock and set the palm at 45
For the backswing, Craig Hanson describes a feel: move the club away so it points more toward one o'clock with the right hand breaking back on itself, which he says sets the club's plane and acts as a speed accumulator. At halfway back, with the left arm parallel to the ground, he wants the palm pointing at 45 degrees; if the palm points back at you, the face is open.
