Switch from training mindset to playing mindset

The speaker distinguishes a training mindset from a playing mindset and describes how to switch. In one metaphor his players wear a red hat to train and a blue hat to play. In another, you go from being the engineer to the driver: the Formula One engineer checks everything in the engine, but the driver only needs to focus on what's in front of him on the track.
