Think the same thing over every shot to be consistent
The instructor argues consistency comes from the mind, not the golf swing: a player who thinks the same thing and carries the same mind frame into every single shot will be consistent, while thinking something different over every shot produces inconsistency. He adds that even a poor ball flight will repeat consistently if you shut your brain off - you may not like the shot, but it will be repeatable.
