Tee off with a confident long iron when the driver misfires
On days he isn't hitting his driver well, the speaker puts it away and tees off with a two or three iron he trusts, to rebuild confidence off the tee. He recommends the same: if you have a long iron you hit well, or if you slice your driver a lot, put the driver away for a while and hit the iron you're confident with. You may leave yourself a bit longer into the green, but he says you'll hit more fairways and greens, and once confidence returns you can go back to driver.
