Stay in your lane, ignore other players' scores

The general rule of thumb the speaker teaches is to play your golf against the golf course; other players have nothing to do with you unless you let them. He warns against reacting to a playing partner's results, for example starting to slam eight-foot putts because they are holing long ones. The putt in front of you is the putt in front of you, so stay in your lane with the things you can do something about.
