Use marker lines to test fairway-wood contact
Use marker, a sticker, or light tape on the front and back parts of the club to reveal which part contacts the ground. A golfer who is topping is more likely to rub off the back mark and leave the front mark; practice descending swings that try to remove the front mark instead.
